CLASSROOM
AGREEMENT

What a nice way of incorporating rules for a classroom.  Having your own students come up with the rules and then having them sign an agreement piece of paper to uphold the rules.  You put it in the hands of your students and they will be more willing to abide by the rules.  You could even take it a step further and have them  come up with consequences if they aren't following the rules.

WE SHOULD BE
HELPING STUDENTS
IN ALL AREAS

We should strip away the fact that our students will have to be facing a cruel world.  On the other hand we should give them the ideas and tools to make this world a more peaceful place to live.  Wonderful thoughts to be thinking about especially around Dr. Martin Luther King's Day.

A  BRAND  NEW
YEAR

Each new year you have the opportunity to start a whole new chapter of your book.  Putting forth your best effort, so that when you go back, at the end of the year to read it you can be pleased with what you have accomplished.  Make it a great chapter to be proud of in your book.

DR.  MARTIN  LUTHER  KING
D A Y

Remembering a powerful person in our history.  A noble man who sought out to give everyone equal opportunities.  He lost his life way too early, but paved the way to have others continue fighting for what he believed so strongly in.

DIGITAL
DEVICES

Your child loves digital devices and constantly wants to use them. Many Teachers use them in the classroom a little and some a lot.    Sometimes to the extent that they become babysitters for the students while the Teacher is working with a group or individual students.  Students become dependent on them for the fast gratification they receive when playing games.  It takes away from your child socializing with other children and if they do socialize they end of playing the games together.  They loose their curiosity of exploring and doing other activities.  Setting a time limit on the devices should not be construed by the child as a punishment but as letting them be able to grow in other areas.

TEACHING
YOUR
STUDENTS

As a Teacher you have your own dreams and way of teaching things to your students.  You can show them the correct path to take when learning different academic skills as well as life lessons.  These will remain with your students (the ones that pay attention).  You can teach them how to study and what to study when needed.  Teach them about different occupations and goals.  In the end though it is up to the student what path to take and hopefully you had a mark in what they end up doing later in life.
