D A Y

I hope everyone had a wonderful Veteran's Day BUT also remembered why we actually celebrate the day!!!

OH  THE  PLACES

YOU'LL  GO

The Dr. Seuss book, "OH THE PLACES YOU'LL GO, has become a parent's timepiece of a yearly request to their child's Teacher to write in.  They purchase the book then send it with their child to school with an enclosed sealed note asking the Teacher to write some things about their child and then secretly sending it back to  them.  Then the following  year they send it back to their child's Teacher for that year.  Many start it as early as Nursery School and then the last year of their child's schooling they give it to their child to read for the first time.  If you haven't started doing this yet with your own child it is never too late to start.

MOM  &  HER  CHILDREN

A home with love & laughter filled with one or more children keeps a MOM busy 24/7.  There are countless number of things to accomplish in a day.  The most precious of them with your child or children.  You want to give them the environment that encourages plenty of lasting great memories.  So when they look back at their childhood they have so many pleasant experiences to remember.  HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

F  E  A  R

Students should be taught to not FEAR trying or learning new things.  So the acronym should be FACE EVERYTHING AND RISE  not  FORGET EVERYTHING AND RUN.  Too many times a student can be heard saying that is too hard for me to do or I haven't been taught that, yet.  They always should be encouraged and feel comfortable enough to attempt to do what is given them.  Even if they do make mistakes.  Learning from their mistakes becomes a great learning tool.

T E S T   S C O R E S

All Teachers and parents should assure their students and children that they are way more important than any test score.  That they just need to do their best on any test and anything that they try to do.  They should never be felt to feel nervous about taking any test.

F S A     TESTING

After months and months of preparation and many Teachers stressing the students out about the test.  The time has come for your child to take the test.  In third grade the students face the test for the first time.  Many are intimidated and nervous about taking the test.  Just reassure them just to do their best and you will be proud of them.  

MEASURING   PROGRESS

Any Teacher, parent, and/or student should NOT measure progress by comparing others.  Each individual student has their own RULER to be measured by and that is the ONLY measuring device to be concerned with.
