Comparing your life to a sandwich you need good food to make that sandwich.  In life you need to make good decisions to have a fulfilling path to travel.  So whether you are making a sandwich or decisions about your life put some thought into them for the best outcome.

S C H O O L S

Whatever your school district has decided about the reopening of schools, remember that what you decide to do about your child is your own personal decision.  So always remember that our students are our future.  Protect them as much as possible!!!

The last summer month so enjoy and make it extra special!!!

FEELING

APPRECIATED

The story tells us that if you feel appreciated you will be willing to do more.  A student should always feel that they are appreciated and an integral part of their class.  So whether your child will be in the classroom or learning online make sure that their teacher(s) make them always feel appreciated.

STICKING  TOGETHER

It is important for families to stick together and build each other up during these different difficult quarantine days.  Coming together at different times of the day to check in with how each member of your family is feeling is helpful.  Making sure each member of your family is voicing how they feel and keeping open communication at all times.

BE   THE

NICE   KID

Instilling in your children to always take the kind way and attitude will make them feel better about themselves.  Showing them that their parents are responsive to showing kindness will instill this and make it natural for them to follow suit.

SCHOOL   IN   THE   FALL

When school resumes in the fall what do you wish for your child.  Virtual classes and keeping them home or returning to the classrooms.  Everyone will certainly have their own opinions  of what they consider is the best option for their  own child.  Regardless, everyone will get a good education from dedicated teachers.

GETTING   YOUR   CHILDREN

TO   READ

Having your child read independently and/or with you helps keep those skills active.  Using a picture such as the one above to get them motivated can help.  Starting out at 5 minutes or whatever you feel is adequate for your child's age.  Then each week increasing it by 10 minutes more to keep the momentum moving.  

GOOD   TRAITS

Children need to witness their parents and people in authority being fair to everyone.  They should see examples of integrity so they are able to model them in different situations.

GRAMMER  POEM

What a wonderful way to help students learn the different parts of speech.  A cute poem that spells it out perfectly.  A great learning device.

EDUCATORS

Teachers can meet the most unusual circumstances such as teaching at home and still be accountable for keeping to the curriculum.  Teachers  are always willing to make sure that they can deliver the best  ways to educate their students.  So when the new school year arrives whether they are teaching in the classroom or from home your child will get a great education from them.

EQUALITY

Everyone is equal and needs to be treated the same no matter what race or religion. It has to be taught at the youngest age that everyone deserves the same things all of the time.

RACIAL  FAIRNESS

Police brutality to the black race can not be tolerated, it has gone on way too long.  With the latest event it has caused so much unrest and turmoil.  With all of this occurring we need to instill in our children that everybody needs to be treated equally, always.

T E A C H E R S

Teachers you really went on board and delivered more than anyone could have expected during this pandemic.  You had to teach from new surroundings, with different sites, and perhaps at different times during the day.  You kept your students informed and provided daily assignments for them to do.  You made the monotony of each day, being held captive in their homes, a welcome event to learn something new.  They had you to see and activities to help keep them busy during each day.  BRAVO!!! 

P R O G R E S S

Some of us are able to progress quickly through some academic skills but NOT everyone is able to.  So for each little measurement of success you are planting the seed for a larger success in the future.  It is important not to compare yourself to your classmates and/or siblings.  Just be proud of what you are able to accomplish each time you attempt to work at the skill.

BE  KIND

You should always be someone who cares about other people's feelings.  Feeling good about yourself and making other's feel good is bringing kindness into the world.  Especially since the COVID-19 virus there have been many acts of kindness provided by some remarkable people.
