EVERY   STUDENT

IS   SPECIAL!!!

Every student has redeeming qualities.  Some might be so very obvious others are subtle.  Though, as Teachers it is our responsibility to find and encourage every child to feel confident in whatever they can do at the time they are doing it.  We should never compare them to another student as to what they can and cannot do.  Not every student is going to learn everything at the same speed.  We need to regulate that and be encouraging to those that need that extra time to achieve what they need to do.  Always being mindful that positivity is the best motivational device there is.

STUDENT'S     PROGRESS

All students learn new skills at different speeds.  Some, no matter what method you use pick up a new skill instantly.  Others will get it after one or two more lessons.  Others might need a different skill approach and/or a lot of repetition.  Too many times Teachers move all of their students onto a new skill BEFORE every student has mastered the previous skill.  For those students who haven't mastered the skill it is UNFAIR for them to have this happen.  The Teacher needs to take the time to remediate the skill completely before teaching them a new skill.  It is setting them up for failure when the skills previously taught aren't mastered fully.

If your child's TEACHER follows all of these wonderful statements that are listed on this wall you can be rest assured you have gotten a real dedicted TEACHER.  Your child will automatically feel really connected to the TEACHER.  They will be able to develop a strong relationship between themselves.  Plus when a student feels a mutual connection with their TEACHER the learning aspect becomes easier for them.  There is a mutual understanding and respect that develops and the student knows that they can ask for help and receive it if they need it.

Teachers are so lucky to get a beautiful picture of student's with unlimited possibilites in their classroom.  With students who are eager to learn and one's who need the motivation to have this happen.  With high achievers and low achievers who need some extra tender loving help.  You get to reap the benefits of your hard earned teaching when you look and see the growth each of your students are making throughout the year.

IMPRESSIONABLE   CHILDREN

Children are very impressionable and we certainly want to make sure that we are creating an atmosphere where they are surrounded by the right things to make the biggest imprints on them.  Shower them with positive situations and encouraging thoughts.  Make sure that they are taught to know the difference between what is right to do and say and what is off limits.  So that we can try to make sure that we are impressing on them the right information.
